The Greek stream frog or simply Greek frog (lat. Rana graeca) is an amphibian that is native to the Balkan countries. In Greece, it occurs all over the mainland, and in the islands of Evia and Thassos. Its favorite habitats are wetlands with clear waters of moderate flow, such as rivers, and streams located in deciduous and mixed forests.
It is a nocturnal species; in winter it falls into hibernation.
