Rowan

The rowan (lat. Sorbus aucuparia) is a deciduous tree that grows in mountainous areas, at an altitude of 1100 - 2000 meters, in dry and barren soils in sunny places, next to forests. It occurs in Central Rodopi and in riverside areas of Nestos, on the top and slopes of Mount Falakro, Mount Paggaio, Mounts Haidou, and Koula including the surrounding peaks, as well as the Virgin Forest of Frakto.

Humans have used its fruit and foliage in the creation of dishes and beverages
