The evergreen oak (lat. Quercus ilex) also known as holly oak or holm oak, is an evergreen type of oak that is native to the Mediterranean area. Glossy and green on the upper surface, and fluffy on the lower one, its leaves are its most distinctive feature. Today, aria forests have been degraded.
