From the Wix Baron to the Municipality of Kavala
The mansion, located at 8 Cyprus Street, belongs to the Municipality of Kavala and specifically to its technical services. It was built in 1906 by the German Baron Adolf Wix as his residence and headquarters for his business activities. In the following years it met many owners before ending up in the Municipality of Kavala. The exterior of the building has many gothic architectural features.
