For the liberation of Drama
The bronze statue of Victory was created by the sculptor Pavlos Kougioumtzis. The unveiling took place in 2013 on the 100th anniversary of the liberation of the city from the Ottomans.
The sculpture, which is 3.80m high, depicts a winged Victory holding a laurel wreath. It stands on a marble base and on its four sides there are reliefs of an ancient Macedonian, a fighter of 1821, a fighter of the Macedonian Struggle and a soldier of the World War ΙΙ.
