In memory of the Pontian genocide

The unveiling of the monument to the genocide of the Pontian people took place in the Municipal Garden of Drama in 2019. It was created by the sculptor of Pontian origin George Kikiotis.

On the left and right side of the composition there are relief representations of the flight of the refugees and the hardships they faced. In the center there is a candle of remembrance and a mother with her child in her arms.
