Near Kali Vrysi and the Cave of the Fountains of Aggitis is the sanctuary of Dionysus. It has dimensions of 34 m. x 16 m. and dates back to the end of the 4th century BC. It was destroyed in 279 BC during the invasion of the Gauls. A Roman marble bust of god Dionysus and an inscription were found in the area. The events of Epiphany that take place in Kali Vrysi, Babougera, are related to the ancient Dionysian cult.
