The river-god Strymon 

On the obverse of this bronze coin, dated to the time of the Macedonian King Perseus (178-168 BC), the head of the river-god Strymon is depicted. In his head he wears horns and is crowned by a wreath of reeds. On the reverse, there is a trident and around it the inscription ΑΜΦΙΠΟΛΙ[ΤΩΝ] (by the citizens of Amphipolis).
