Byzantine Museum of Didymoteicho 

The glorious history of the twin walls through the findings of the excavations

The Byzantine Museum of Didymoteicho presents the history of the city from the 2nd century AD and mainly during the Byzantine period. The exhibits are accompanied by rich audiovisual material and interactive applications on the monuments, the history of the area and various historical figures of Didymoteicho and Thrace. 

In addition to the exhibition area, the building houses warehouses, workshops, a hall for cultural events and periodical exhibitions. 

The museum has a parking lot on Sophocleous Street. Access for the disabled to the museum is through an external ramp and the movement between the two levels of the building by elevator.
