Relics of Cappadocian culture in Nea Karvali
The Museum of the Culture House of Nea Karvali was founded in 1990. In its premises various objects of the Greek Cappadocian Culture are exhibited. Specifically, there are costumes, carpets, fabrics, objects of everyday life (newspapers, books, magazines), tools and utensils, musical instruments, archeological objects dating from the Hittite era to 1924. The collection is completed with objects of education and church life.
The museum's book collection is rare with publications from the 14th to the 19th century. Of particular interest are the books on Karamanli writing. These are books written in Turkish with Greek characters. The purpose of the Museum is to preserve the history and culture of the Greeks of Cappadocia.
