An ancient tower in Thassos
In the southeastern part of the island, near Aliki, the largest tower of Thassos is situated. It is a circular tower not preserved in good condition but when it was built it must have been very high. Around the tower, architectural members can be seen, possibly from other buildings associated with the tower. The construction of the tower dates back to the beginning of classical times (5th century BC). The monument is located 300 meters from the public road.
