The world artist from Potamia
The Museum of Polygnotos Vagis is located In Potamia Thassos. The two-story stone building was built in the second half of the 19th century in order to house the Primary School as it operated until 1960.
From 1981 it was transformed into a Museum to house the work of the sculptor Polygnotos Vagis (1892-1965). The artist immigrated to America at a young age where he enjoyed great success in painting and sculpture. The museum exhibits 15 paintings and 98 sculptures.
