Komotini roasted chick peas: the humble superfood
Komotini is also famous for its roasted chickpeas (called stragalia). They come in various flavors (savory, peppery, sweet, or caramelized). It takes about six months to prepare roasted chickpeas. Being rich in protein and carbohydrates, and a source of fiber stragali is considered a super food. Compared to other nuts, it is superior in vitamins A and B.
