On the surface of the lekythos, an Thracian woman is depicted armed and ready to attack. She holds a spear in her right hand and a cloth richly decorated with meanders covers her left arm, probably used as a shield. She wears himation and chiton. There are tattoos on her body. She is probably one of the Thracian women who killed the famous Thracian musician Orpheus.
