The plant yarrow, also known as Common yarrow (Latin: Achillea millefolium) is a perennial herbaceous plant, common in many parts of Greece. It is used as an herb with healing properties, which have been known since antiquity.
In the region of Eastern Macedonia - Thrace, we find it in the mountains Falakro, Menoikio, Haidou, and Koula, in the Virgin Forest of Fraktos, in the region of Elatia and the surrounding areas, in Rodopi and on the banks of the river Nestos.
