Wolf

The wolf (lat. Canis lupus), also known as the grey wolf or gray wolf, is a carnivorous mammal that once had the largest geographical distribution on the planet, covering almost the entire northern hemisphere. Today, its presence has been significantly reduced due to human activity and threats and inhabits mainly countries such as Portugal, Spain, Italy, the Scandinavian countries, and eastern Europe. It has recently reappeared in countries such as France, Switzerland, and Germany. In Greece, wolves live on the mainland in areas with nomadic stock-raising or areas with big mountain ranges without intense human activity.

Being a symbol of power and freedom, the wolf is a strong animal that runs very fast (it can reach up to 45 km / h) and is a great swimmer. It lives in packs and can locate its prey from a great distance just using its sharp sense of smell.
