Stomari is a steep gorge in the northern part of Samothrace; the entrance to the gorge is at the peak of the mountain Feggari and the exit is at the east of the village of Therma. At some points, the walls are narrow and vertical; a small river flows all year round along the gorge. Elsewhere, the gorge widens up and plane trees occur. At the bottom of the gorge, there are small lakes like pools.
