Traditional carols of Nea Vyssa in Evros. Their name is due to the accompanying instrument of the youth song, the so-called “Tempeleki” or “Daires”. “Daires” is the so-called dahares or the well-known tambourine.
They are a male event of the Twelfth Day, which takes place on the eve or on Christmas day. During them, zoomorphic disguises take place, such as “Kamilaris” that accompanies the custom. The participants wear special clothes.
