European edible dormouce

The European edible dormouse (lat. Glis glis), known also as the European fat dormouse, is a species of nocturnal rodent. It looks like a large bushy-tailed mouse or even a squirrel. It is quite common in Western Europe and many Mediterranean countries. It inhabits deciduous forests dominated by oak and beech; it even finds shelter near urban areas, where it can spot its food.
