The peregrine falcon (lat. Falco peregrinus), also known as the peregrine or the duck hawk is a bird of prey and a type of hawk. It has a widespread distribution all over the world, and it is particularly common in Greece.
It nests mainly on cliffs and rocky slopes. It feeds mainly on small birds which it catches in the air! He chases his prey and dives into the target almost vertically at high speed. In fact, it is renowned for its speed reaching 360 - 400 kilometers/ hour during hunting.
