The common buzzard (lat. Buteo buteo buteo) is a middle-sized bird of prey that is common throughout Europe, Asia, and Africa. It is also common species in Greece. It resembles the European pern.
It lives mainly in forests with adjacent open landscapes such as meadows, shrubs, and nearby farmlands, where it seeks its food. It feeds mainly on small mammals, but also on amphibians, reptiles, and rodents.
