European aspen

The European Aspen (lat. Populus tremula) also known as aspen, is a deciduous tree - a species of poplar that is native to cool temperate regions of Europe and Asia. In Greece, it occurs at high altitudes in areas with high humidity. Its name quaking aspen is due to the fact that even the slightest breeze causes its leaves to flutter giving thus the impression of the whole tree trembling!
