Agios Andreas lagoon is located on the north-western side of Samothrace, very close to the port of the island Kamariotissa. It is one of the most important wetlands of Samothrace, with rich bird fauna and fish fauna. Indeed, many species of migratory birds pass through on their migratory way, before or after the most important station of the wider region, the Evros Delta.
