Village in the region of Rodopi, on the border between Greece with Bulgaria. It belongs to the Pomakochoria of Rodopi. The mosque is the main sight of the village.
Legend has it that a woman, Mehrie, once settled in the area because there she found water and food for her animals. That was the beginning of the settlement.
