In the center of the scene Orpheus is falling on the ground. He is holding his lyre up with his right hand. Α Thracian woman is attacking him from the left. She pierces his chest with a spit. Blood gushes from his wound. Another Thracian woman is about to strike him from behind with a rock. There are four other angry Thracian women holding up rocks, spears, a double-axe or a sickle in order to attack and therefore kill the musician Orpheus. The women wear chitons and himatia and have tattoos on their skins.
