continuo Aeoliam Tyrrhenaque tendit ad antra

Στο μεταξύ, ο άγριος Βορέας, αφού κατασκόπευσε από την ακρόπολη του Παγγαίου τα πανιά που περνούσαν στη μέση του πελάγους, αμέσως κατευθύνεται για την Αιολία και στρέφει την ορμή του στις Τυρρηνικές σπηλιές. Όλο το δάσος μουγκρίζει από τα γοργά φτερά του θεού, οι σοδειές σκορπίζονται και η θάλασσα ταράζεται και μαυρίζει κάτω από την ορμητική πτήση του.

Meantime fierce Boreas from his eyrie in Pangaeus spied the sails set to the wind in the midst of the deep, and straightway turns his rapid course to Aeolia and the Tyrrhene caves. Every forest groans beneath the speeding wings of the god, the crops are laid waste, and the sea roils and darkens beneath his hurtling flight.
