In the central panel of the mosaic floor the river-god Hebrus is depicted on the left, at a young age and beardless, emerging from the water. Next to him the personified city of Plotinopolis sits. Her upper part is not preserved, because it was destroyed by the later wall of the early Christian period along with a large part of the central representation. She holds a sceptre in her left hand that ends in a snake's head. The central panel is surrounded by a zone with a parade of a "marine thiasos", which is consisted by Ichthyocentaurs ("sea-centaurs"), Nereids and Cupids riding dolphins. There are additional zones with braids.
